Firstly, go to the compensator and undo the two 13mm nuts that are holding the brake cable to the compensator. One is a ball nut and one is a lock nut; simply snap them apart and wind them loose.
Next, release the cable from the anchor bracket which is attached to the axle. Normally a 10mm nut which is removed via a 17mm spanner.
Underneath, at the back plate of the trailer, there is a cup, pull that backwards, which will release the cup off the half shells. Those half shells will then fall apart. Then, simply release the inner cable from the eyelet.
That will then enable you to remove the cable and fit a new one.
